Abstract This paper describes the Language Technology Resource Center (LTRC), a UnitedStates Government website for providing information and tools for users oflanguages (e.g., translators, analysts, systems administrators, researchers, developers, etc.) The LTRC provides information on a broad range of productsand tools. It also provides a survey where product developers and researcherscan provide the U.S. Government and the public with information about theirwork. A variety of reports are generated, including reports of all tools of agiven type in a given language or dialect. Information is provided aboutstandards, professional organizations, online resources, and other resources. The LTRC was developed and is run by MITRE, a Federally Funded Research andDevelopment Center (FFRDC), on behalf of the U.S. Government. One of the majorchallenges for the future is to identify and provide information on the manynew tools that are appearing. International collaboration is critical to coverthis number of tools.
